Tax Clearance Certificates are issued by the Tax Administration Division to confirm that no statutory liens exist at that point in time under the Revenue Administration Act. The cost per Tax Clearance Certificate is $50.00. To obtain a Tax Clearance Certificate:
1. Submit payment using the online payment service; and
2. Complete and submit the Application for Tax Clearance Certificate by email to taxclearance@gov.nl.ca. Applications may be downloaded here here (Application Tax Clearance) or are available by contacting:

You may process your payment using Visa, MasterCard, or Interac Debit Card or Online Payment. Please enter your contact information as indicated. This information is required so we may contact you if we have questions regarding your payment.

To pay for a Tax Clearance Certificate please enter the quantity of applications, law firm name, and lawyers name (if applicable). A transaction number will be generated. We cannot accept prepayments therefore the payment must equal the number of applications being submitted. Please ensure that this transaction number is written on each Tax Clearance Certificate Application associated with the payment and attach a copy of the online receipt to the applications you are submitting.
