A map staked licence is issued for a term of five years. However, a map staked licence may be renewed and held for a maximum of thirty years provided the required annual assessment work is completed and reported on and renewal fees are paid as required.
Mineral Licence Renewal Fees are:
For year 5 $25/claim
For year 10 $50/claim
For year 15 $100/claim
For year 20 to 30 $200/claim/year
To determine the year of the mineral licence, the number of claims and the due date, please access the Mineral Rights Inquiry Reports found at
http://gis.geosurv.gov.nl.ca/mrinquiry/mrinquiry.asp .
