Gasoline Tax Exemption Permit

Gasoline Tax Exemption Permits are issued by the Tax Administration Division under the Revenue Administration Act. The Gasoline Tax Exemption Permit allows for the purchase of marked diesel or light fuel oil tax exempt at the point of sale to a person or entity eligible for a gasoline tax exemption based upon fuel usage.

There are three permit types: one year, two year, and three year permits.

To obtain a Gasoline Tax Exemption Permit:
1.  Submit payment using the online payment service; and
2.  Complete and submit the Application for Gasoline Tax Exemption Permit to the Tax Administration Division by email, fax or mail as indicated below.

If you are renewing your permit, use the renewal application received by mail from the Tax Administration Division. If you did not receive an application or are a first time applicant, applications may be downloaded here (Application Gasoline and Carbon Tax Exemption Permit) or are available by contacting:

To pay for a Gasoline Tax Exemption Permit, please enter the legal name of the person or entity to be issued a permit and select the permit type. If you are renewing your permit, you must also enter your Tax Remitter number as contained on your renewal application form.

A transaction number and online receipt will be generated. Please ensure that the payment transaction number is written on the Gasoline and Tax Exemption Permit Application associated with the payment. Failure to write the payment transaction number on the application may delay the processing of the permit. Thank you for using the online payment service.

This information is being collected by the Tax Administration Division under the authority of section 61(c) of the Access to Information and Protection of Privacy Act, 2015. It will be used for the purpose of securing payment for Gasoline Tax Exemption Permits. Financial information will be shared with Government's card services provider for the purpose of processing payments.
